Big changes are heading toward Alltel later this year. The carrier, or what has left of it after the merger with Verizon, will be acquired by AT&T in the second half of 2013. Of course, for Alltel’s 585,000 subscribers it will mean significant changes such as converting the network to GSM/UMTS and LTE. As of now, however, Alltel is going just fine and is adding new phones to its portfolio, such as the popular Apple iPhones.

The new devices are not just any low-end cheap smartphones but actually the Apple finest. The iPhone 5 is already available for pre-order starting at $149.99 for the 16 GB model. If you need more storage for your content, the 32 GB version will cost $249.99 and the 64 GB variant will set you back $349.99. The iPhone 5, however, is not be the only Apple product offered by Alltel. Older iPhone models, if you looking for something more affordable, are also available for pre-order. The iPhone 4S is priced at $49.99 and the iPhone 4 cost you only $0.99. All purchases are scheduled to be shipped on March 15.
Undoubtedly, the hero here is Apple’s latest flagship device – the iPhone 5. As a reminder, the handset features a 4-inch LCD screen with 640 x 1136 resolution at 326 ppi and is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz A6 chipset with Power VR SGX 543MP3 for graphics.
