There have been so many rumors regarding Apple’s upcoming devices that we could write a book filled out with with press images and live pictures. As the big day on which the company will make its devices official approaches, the leaks increase in intensity. Today, courtesy of Apple Club we bring you a fresh photo of the iPhone 6 as it smiles to camera along with the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
Upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 to feature Touch ID button
The images don’t reveal much, but focus on one interesting detail – the Touch ID button. Of all devices released last year only the iPhone 5S comes with fingerprint scanner, despite rumors that Apple could include this functionality in the iPad Air and iPad Mini 2. This year it appears that the next-generation smartphone as well as both tablets will be sporting the Touch ID sensor. Such possibility was suggested last week by leaked photo of the iPad Air 2 dummy featuring the Touch ID home button. This time round the images shows model devices.
Apple’s new trio (or quartet, if you take into account that the iPhone 6 is said to be launched in two sizes) will run the latest version of iOS which will extend fingerprint scanner support to tablets. One of the rumors circulating around the web suggests that iOS 8 will also include split-screen feature which will allow users to have two apps opened simultaneously side by side.
Apple is know for its watchmaker’s precision in announcing new devices. Unless the Cupertino company is preparing a huge surprise for us (like they did last year by releasing two iPhones on the same day), we should expect the iPhone 6 and both iPads some time this fall, possibly around October. Until this happens, we will be treated to many more leaks and rumors, not all of which will come true. The photo of Apple’s new devices seem legit; however, since it doesn’t come straight from the manufacturer, you’d better take it with a pinch of salt.
