Mobile virtual network operators such as Virgin Mobile are especially valued for being a relatively cheap alternative to other carriers. Their weak point, however, is somewhat less attractive portfolio compared to e.g. AT&T or Verizon. Virgin Mobile has just gotten a little more attractive with the addition of the iPhone 5 to its offer.
Apple iPhone 5 for Virgin Mobile
The 16 GB version of the iPhone 5 is now available from Virgin Mobile online store and other independent mobile stores for $549.99. If you have your eyes on the 32 GB of 64 GB models, you will have to wait until next week, when they will go on sale for $649.99 and $749.99 respectively.
If you decide to purchase the handset this following week, you also will be able to take advantage of Virgin Mobile’s “Get Your Benjamin” promotion. As a part of the deal, you will receive $100 account bonus that will be applied to your account within 30 days of activation. The only condition is that you have to port your number from another carrier.
Being a semi-non-subsidized, Virgin Mobile sells its devices for a higher upfront price. However, in the long run, you will be able to actually save some money. First of all, activation at Virgin Mobile is free. Second, the carrier offers an affordable $35-per-month plan with unlimited texting and data. Sing up for automatic monthly payments and you will bring the price down to $30 per month.
Finally, Virgin Mobile does not require you to sign lengthy contracts. All things considered, the offer looks interesting.
