What is a batter way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to give a gift that your loved one has been dreaming about or get yourself one? If that perfect gift happens to be a tablet, Amazon has a deal that you will love. In what seems to be an early Valentine’s Day promotion, the retailer knocked down prices of its Kindle Fire tablets. The discounts range from $30 to $80, depending on which model you choose, and apply to all storage and connectivity configurations you pick.
Valentine’s Day Sale on Amazon’s Tablets
The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has seen the most generous discount. The tablet now costs $189 for the 16 GB model, which is $80 off its regular price. Curiously, the 32 GB version is priced at $259, or $40 less than it used to be. Similar discount is applied to the Kindle Fire XHD 8.9, in this case regardless of storage. The price starts at $339 for the 16 GB slate and goes up to $389 and $439 for the 32 GB and 64 GB models, respectively.
The 7-inch Kindle Fire XHD can be yours for $30 off, that is $199, $239 and $279 for the 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants. If you want cellular connectivity in addition to standard Wi-Fi, you will have to add $100 to the price.
The Kindle Fire tablets have been reviewed many times, so here is just a quick reminder of their key specs. The Kindle Fire HD features an 8.9-inch display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and a front-facing HD camera. Both, the Kindle Fire XHD 7 and 8.9 are powered by quad-core 2.2 GHz processors and offer 2 GB of RAM. Both pack front-facing HD cameras; however, the bigger tablet also comes with an 8-megapixel rear shooter.
