Amazon kicked off 48-hour Unlocked Event, focused on SIM-lock free Android phones with deep discounts
Apple is advertising its new iPhone left and right and carriers are offering deals to woo more customers, but even though some models of the phone sold out within hours of launch, it’s not going to change Android’s position as the most popular OS. That said, if you are in the market for a new Android phone and want to save some money in the process, head over to Amazon. The biggest online retailer just kicked off 48-hour Unlocked Event focused on Android phones with deep discounts.
Amazon just launched an awesome promotion on Android phones. You can grab an unlocked phone starting at $99.
If your priority is the lowest price and you can accept more modest specs, then your best option will be the LG K7 currently priced at $99 which is 34 percent cheaper. The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 costs almost the same, that is $99.99, but it comes with a sharper screen and more memory. If you can afford to throw in another $100, the Asus ZenFone 2 with 64GB of storage can be yours for just $199. Speaking of storage, the Nextbit Robin which offers 32GB of internal memory and 100GB of online space for your content will also set you back $199.
Next place on the list occupies the OnePlus 2, a powerful yet affordable smartphone which is now even cheaper and costs only $239.99. For another $10, that is $249.99 you can have the Moto G Plus (4th generation) either in black or white color option. The Asus ZenFone Zoom with advanced camera, on the other hand, is available for $299. Finally, Amazon is also offering two LG G5 models – grey variant costs $479, while the price of the titan option is withheld outside of Amazon.
As the name of the promotion indicates, all phones are unlocked so they should work well on any GSM carrier, including AT&T or T-Mobile. Of course, in order to use your device, you will need to buy a SIM card. To make the deal even sweeter, Amazon is offering free shipping and handling. Moreover, all phones come with US warranties. The promotion expires tomorrow, September 23, so you may want to make up your mind rather sooner than later.
The choice of models may be somewhat limited, but if you are looking for a new Android phone, the deal might be worth looking into.
