Alcatel unveils 6-inch One Touch Hero with pico projector, E-Ink and Magic Flip cover

Alcatel One Touch HeroIf you think that Alcatel’s One Touch Scribe HD is a cool phone, the company’s new offering, the One Touch Hero will leave you drooling at the mere thought of the phone. The name says it all. In comparison to the Scribe HD, the One Touch Hero was upgraded in almost every possible way. Not only does the phablet pack truly high-end specs, but will also bundle with a handful of useful accessories. You can expect to see the Alcatel One Touch Hero in stores some time in October.

6-inch Alcatel One Touch Hero Phablet

One Touch HeroThe Alcatel One Touch Hero features a 6-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and support for a stylus. The phone is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor. Alcatel did not mention the brand, but MediaTek seems like a safe bet, since that is what the company has been using in all its latest releases. The One Touch Hero offers 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. The handset is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter and a massive 3,200 mAh battery. The phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The accessories include pico projector, E-Ink cover, Magic Flip cover, a small Bluetooth enabled companion phone and wireless charger. The 12Lm pico projector add-on can be used for business purposes as well as for fun. According to Alcatel, the device is capable of projecting an image larger than 70 inches.

One Touch Hero Pico ProjectorThe E-Ink cover provides users with a second screen to read books, magazines or newspapers. Magic Flip cover features embedded LEDs that display time and notifications. The smaller companion phone will pair with the huge One Touch Hero and allow you to take and place voice calls, receive texts and view calendar in a much more handy way.
