Alcatel intros a 5.5-inch phablet with huge battery that lasts almost three days and should be easy on your budget
Alcatel has just announced a brand new smartphone joining their lineup of low-end Android smartphones. The Pixi 4 Plus Power is great for three reasons. First of all it’s powered by a very generous 5,000 mAh battery which seems to put an end to the irritating issue of a dead phone when you need it most. Secondly, the phone offers large 5.5-ich screen. Lastly, the phablet is expected to come labeled with an affordable price tag that won’t do much harm to your budget.
Alcatel announced the Pixi 4 Plus Power. Promised to be wallet-friendly, the 5.5-inch phablet features a massive 5,000 mAh battery that can lasts up to 2.7 days on normal usage.
The Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power arrives dressed in a plastic, though quite attractive, body with textured back panel featuring a 13MP primary sensor with LED flash, capable to record videos at 1080p quality. On the front, the smartphone houses a pretty massive 5.5-inch HD IPS display sporting 1280x720p of resolution, which translates to 267ppi of pixel density. Perhaps the modest panel is far from flagship ones, but even though it is sharp enough to provide its users with decent viewing experience. Above the screen there is a secondary 5MP camera for selfies and video chat supporting video stabilization.
Moving on to the inside, the Pixi 4 Plus Power is driven by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 1GB RAM. Those computing parameters altogether should deliver smooth Android 6.0 Marshamllow experience out of box. In the storage department, the phone offers 8GB of built-in storage that may be easily expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. This dual-SIM phone is a 3G only device, so sadly there’s no speedy LTE connectivity under the hood which is a bummer. Alternatively users can rely on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Although all those features don’t look particularly impressive, the Pixi 4 Plus Power has one strong ace up its sleeve. Powered by a ginormous 5,000 mAh battery with quick charge support the handset is promised to work almost three days, 2.7 days to be exact on a single charge. Furthermore, the phablet is capable to deliver 14 hours of video streaming, 22 hours of Wi-Fi browsing or 5 full days of playing music – all this without charging. In addition, the device’s battery may as well serve as a power bank for other devices.
So far Alcatel didn’t share the news when and where exactly the phablet will be available. But knowing that the Chinese company is famous for delivering low cost and wallet friendly phones, the Pixi 4 Plus Power will be surely a cheap offering accessible in a variety of colors, including Silver, Metal Gold, Volcano Black, Sharp Blue, Black and White. For comparison, fed by an only 2,000 mAh battery standard model Pixi 4 cost something round $75.
