Another week another deal to catch! Today Alcatel announced introducing its new wallet-friendly smartphone offering to the US market. Dubbed Alcatel Fierce 4 the phone will be available to you at $69 without contract through Metro PCS. For that money you will get a pretty capable Android Marshmallow-powered phablet sporting speedy 4G LTE connectivity.
Alcatel brings another budget-friendly phone to Metro PCS stores. Featuring LTE connectivity and Android Marshmallow, the 5.5-inch Fierce 4 phablet goes on sale for less than $70.
Following the TRU’s premiere earlier this month, Alcatel expands its lineup by another affordable yet quite capable smartphone. Starting this week, all Metro PCS subscribers are able to order the Fierce 4 for as little as $69 with eligible phone activation or upgrade. However, the phone’s pricing raises some controversies since the one suggested by the manufacturer is not in line with the Fierce 4’s pricing listed on the carrier’s website, where the phablet costs $119, including an instant rebate worth $10.
Hope, that both the carrier and manufacturer will soon reach an agreement in this field, and that the pricing announced by Alcatel will be the final one. Otherwise, the phone may not evoke big interest, as except for 4G LTE connectivity and its price tag the handset hasn’t any more aces up its sleeve as it is nothing more but a decent entry-level device.
Housing a 5.5-inch screen panel with 720p of resolution the Fierce 4 comes driven by a quad-core 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which still should deliver proper conditions for Android 6.0 Marshmallow the phone runs out of box. Moving on to the optics department, here the phone offers us a combination of an 8MP primary camera with autofocus and a 5MP selfie snapper with 84-degree angle view field on the front. Other that that the Fierce 4 supports microSD expansion accepting cards up to 128GB and is kept alive by a 2,500 mAh battery.
If the Fierce 4 got your attention, simply visit Metro PCS online store or the carrier’s local representative and grab one for yourself. Remember to ask about the pricing as it may be a subject to change. Alcatel claims that the phone won’t be Metro PCS exclusive offering as later this fall the device is scheduled to hit T-Mobile.
