Sprint has just added a new affordable and quite advanced Android smartphone to its offer – the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE. The phone is a perfect choice for those who consider the price the main barrier in switching from a featured phone to a smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE for Sprint sports a 4-inch WVGA touch screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Lite processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. To complete the picture, there is also 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB on-board memory. Unfortunately, we have not been able to confirm the microSD support, so there exists a possibility that you will have to manage with nonexpendable storage capacity.
As the name suggests, the new Galaxy Victory comes with Sprint LTE speeds, so you can take full advantage of superfast downloading, streaming and web surfing on your phone. The Victory runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and there is no word on Jelly Bean upgrade in the near future.
With the latest operating system you also get the intuitive and easy to use TouchWiz user interface together with S Beam, AllShare Play and AllShare Group Cast. The first uses NFC technology to enhance device-to-device sharing so you will be able to send photos, videos, documents and other DRM-free content by simply touching another S Beam enabled phone. AllShare Play allows you to wirelessly connect Galaxy Victory to your PC, tablet or television to immediately share files, stream music, videos, photos and other DRM-free content using Wi-Fi. With AllShare Group Cast you will be able to share a presentation or photo album in real time with multiple friends on the same Wi-Fi network.
The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE is also equipped with a 5 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front shooter, which you can use for self-portraits and video chatting. The back camera / camcorder features auto focus, shot modes, landscape, macro, panorama, geo-tagging, editing modes, DivX, video share, and online image uploading. The music player is compatible with AAC, AMR, AWB, M4A, MID, MP3, OGG, QCP, WAV, and WMA files, and the video player supports DivX, H.263, H.264, MPEG4, and WMV formats.
The Victory has access to Samsung Media Hub, which offers a vast selection of downloadable TV shows and movies, and Google Play Store where you can find thousands of apps, games, books, videos, music and more. The phone also supports Google Mobile Services like Gmail, Google Talk or Google Wallet. In terms of connectivity you get Bluetooth with A2DP, HFP, and PBAP support, and Wi-Fi with hotspot capability co you can share your 4G connection with other devices.
Other features of the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE include: voice recognition, visual voicemail, text-to-speech, music ID, picture caller ID, multitasking, widgets, airline mode, threaded / chat-style messages, predictive text (T9 / XT9), MS Office compatibility, smart unlock, accelerometer, HTML browser and GPS.
