Yes, you can. The phone is unlocked and is compatible with Straight Talk SIM cards.
I just bought one of these from here. Are they compatible with my galaxy’s 4g SIM card? Or can I get 4g speed on a 3g card?
Brian, the phone will accept 4G SIM, however, the Motorola Droid 3 does not support 4G speed, the 3G is the maximum what you can get of this device. Here is the link to deals on 4G compatible smartphones. Hope you find this helpful.
I saw on another Droid phone saying a g.mail account needs to be set up for an Android type phone..is that with this phone also?? I never even knew about a g.mail account..I have a standard yahoo account..if so hoe would I set up the gmail account for this phone ?
All Android smartphones require Gmail account in order to have access to Google Play store.
Ok..but I’m not sure what Google play is..also I have a Net 10 phone that I use now..if I were to purchase one of these Motorola Droid 3 phones do the Droid phones have a SIM card or ESN? My current Net 10 phone has a SIM card..The Droids that I’m looking at are under the section cheap Net 10 phones..if a SIM card is used would I be able to just take mine out of current phone & put in Droid ?
Google Play is a store where you download all applications from to your Android device. The Motorola Droid is a dual-band global Verizon phone which support SIM cards for GSM service providers, such as Net10; and ESN# for Verizon and Page Plus subscribers. Once your device arrive, in the settings of the phone switch CDMA mode to GSM and slip in the SIM from your old device.
Hi, I was wondering if i buy this phone can i take the sim card out of my current straight talk smartphone and put it into this phone without any problems? The sim card i have is an AT&T sim card, would that matter being this phone is a Verizon phone?
Randa, this phone is a Verizon world edition phone, which means that is quad-band GSM, unlocked and accepts SIM cards. Therefore it is compatible with AT&T SIM cards as well.
Would you do a trade for another phone
So if I buy this phone I can use it for Straight Talk service right? If so, how easy is it to hook up to Straight Talk?
Hi Blayne, the phone is unlocked and compatible with Straight Talk prepaid service. All you need to do is to purchase SIM card from Straight Talk and set it up accordingly to carrier instructions.
