Cheap Smartphones

If you are a person who does a lot of business on the go or a social dude who likes to stay connected everywhere, you should consider purchasing a smartphone over a regular cell phone.

Before purchasing a smartphone read the following tips to help you decide which smartphone will meet your needs. Some smartphones will need a data plan in order to be activated. Some of them perform better than others. Once you are ready, start searching for a smartphone at the cheapest price in the market.

Why should keep buying cheap smartphones

You don't need an expensive smartphone to enjoy the most popular apps, decent camera experience or attractive design. Here are top three reasons why buying inexpensive smartphones is a good idea.

In times when smart industry was still in its infancy, cheap phones barely deserved to be called smart because of their poor performance, not to mention that they were terribly ugly, hence they were bought as a last resort, only when there was no other choice. A lot has changed since then. Today, an average phone below the $100 price tag is perfectly capable of providing everything you need and won't scare you away with its appearance. Here are a few reasons why you should keep buying cheap smartphones.

They support the same apps

Many users believe that the more expensive smartphone they buy, the more useful it will be. In a way it's true, however, app support has more to do with the version of the operating system than the phone's price. In other words, a two-year-old smartphone costing $300 may theoretically encounter more issues with certain apps than a $100 phone launched yesterday. Of course, there are some apps that are released with specific high-end models in mind, but when it comes to essentials such as WhatsApp, Skype, Facebook, web browser or email, they should run without any problems even if you get yourself the cheapest smartphone you can find.

They come with pretty good cameras

Mobile photography is one of the areas that has improved tremendously over the past couple of years. Some time ago, if you wanted a smartphone with a decent camera, you had to invest a substantial amount of money. Recently, however, standards have moved up so high that even a lower-end phone can easily replace a digital camera in everyday situations and there's still a lot of room for improvement. On January 10th Xiaomi released the Redmi 3 with a 13-megapixel main and 5-megapixel front cameras and the handset will cost about $100. That's the setup that was found in many flagship phones in 2015.

They can look very attractive

According to a popular saying, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and the same goes for smartphones - how it looks doesn't necessarily reflect on how it performs. Let's be honest, though. If the design leaves a lot to be desired and the construction is poor, users are less likely to even take a closer look at the device, let alone buy it. Lower-end phones from a few years back screamed "cheap" from the moment you laid your eyes on them. However, it's no longer the case.

As manufacturers realized the importance of the first impression, they are now putting a lot of effort into improving the design. As a result, as far as the appearance is concerned, a number of inexpensive smartphones can easily compete with the most premium offerings. For example, the previously mentioned Redmi 3 comes packed with a metal body.

Final thought

Summing up, unless you want the most technologically advanced gadget, you no longer have to spend a fortune to buy a decent device. Today's cheap phones are compatible with exactly the same apps as more expensive handsets, they offer satisfying camera experience and won't make you feel ashamed because of their looks. Moreover, since a typical upgrade cycle is a year, it doesn't seem to make much sense to pay $700 for a phone that will be a generation behind in a few months.
