Recently, Apple has been the number one topic of numerous rumors. Almost everyday, we get new leaks on its alleged intensive launch plans. And just yesterday, The Taiwanese Economic Daily News reported that, in addition to release of iWatch, the company considers to launch three new versions of iPads this year, including the 9.7-inch iPad Air 2, the next generation 7.9-inch iPad Mini and the completely revolutionary in terms of display size 12.9-inch iPad also known as the iPad Pro and iPad Maxi.
12.9-inch iPad Pro may be the real thing…
The very first speculations on the iPad Pro appeared on the net along with the rumor that Apple has been experimenting with diverse display sizes, which they want to introduce to the next- generation of their iOS tablets. The company says that through creating a tablet with outrageously colossal 12.9-inch display, they want to satisfy the ever growing needs of their demanding enterprise and education customers and to, let’s be strict, compete with the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, which is said to be a laptop substitute. And since, Microsoft has released the Office version compatible with iOS devices, the rivalry is likely to be the harsh one.
The Daily Economic News suggests also that all three iWatches will be launched this year shortly before the long-awaited premiere of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. Both lines of products: the iWatches and iPad Pro will be equipped with next-gen touched sensor technology provided by the so-called “leading touch solution provider” TPK. The new solution using silver nanowire takes the place of indium tin oxide. The innovative material is deemed to have better conductive features than its forerunner. Furthermore, the silver nanowire touch films will enable Apple to introduce sapphire glass to its devices without necessity of adding extra sensor for exactly pinpointing touch location. Another important plus of the new technology is that the silver nanowire films are more flexible, which would help Apple to implement LG’ flexible OLED display to their products, as it was speculated some time ago.
The rumors don’t agree as it comes to the official date of 12.9-inch iPad Pro’s debut. Some of them anticipates the premiere to take place at the end of this year, other says that the project has been postponed until the undefined date. But, witnessing the 2013 release of previous models of iPhones and iPads, we may assume that the official iPad Pro unveiling is highly probable to happen this year, right after the iPhone 6 premiere.
