ZTE launches 5-inch Grand X Quad with quad-core processor for just $270

Grand X Quad by ZTECourtesy of @evleaks, who posted a bunch of fresh leaks last week, we can take a look at the new ZTE Grand X Quad, which until now was known as the ZTE V987. But is this news really a news? Not so much we dare to say. As it turns out, the phone is already available in China and can be purchased at budget friendly price at Magic Bazaar for ¥1,699 which is equivalent of $270. Apparently, the phone is quite popular and is selling like hot cakes, hence its interesting specs, attractive price and limited availability.

ZTE Grand X Quad Smartphone – Overview

Grand X QuadThe ZTE Grand X Quad measures 5.51 x 2.75 x 0.36 inches (140 x 70 x 9.2 mm) and weighs in at 5.64 ounces (160 g) and is available in black and white color options. The phone features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Under the hood you will find MediaTek’s quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor with PowerVR SGX 544 for graphics. There is also an 8 megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and 720p video capture as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video chatting.

The Grand X Quad offers 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for storage expansion and ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As it is typical for a smartphone aimed at Chinese market, the phone comes with dual-SIM supporting both WCDMA and GSM networks. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, FM radio and a removable 2,500 mAh battery.
