Right on time, the ZTE Force landed today at Sprint. This is actually no surprise, since we expected this launch since last week. The phone is now available online and in stores for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Of course, you will have to sign a new two-year contract to purchase the Force at this price. Otherwise the phone costs $299.99. The handset will also be launched by Sprint’s prepaid brand, Boost Mobile, on March 7 where it will be priced at $199.99 without contract.
ZTE Force 4G LTE for Sprint – Overview
The ZTE Force for Sprint is a budget-friendly device that would be perfect for less demanding customers, as it comes with all the essential features. Its 4-inch touch screen with 480 x 800 resolution is covered with Gorilla Glass to prevent any scrapes and scratches on the display. Powering the handset is a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and there is 4 GB of internal memory for your content.
The phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1 megapixel unit on the front for video chatting. The 1730 mAh battery may not be the most powerful in the world, but should give you up to 9 hours talk time. The ZTE Force runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is not the latest version of the operating system, but still you will be able to enjoy Google on the go with mobile services, including YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, Google Maps and Google Books.
Other features of the ZTE Force include: 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi connectivity with mobile hotspot feature, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, and NFC.
