Droid DNA by HTCThe Verizon Droid DNA by HTC was the first smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p screen to arrive in the States, and although it has been available for just two months, we have already witnessed a few significant price cuts. Today the HTC Droid DNA can be yours for a half its original price from Amazon.

Learn more about the deal on HTC Droid DNA

HTC Droid DNA at half priceThe Verizon Droid DNA started selling for $199.99, which, considering the phone’s specs, some believed to be a great deal already. A few weeks later the price was slashed down to $149.99 on contract first by Wirefly online store and then by Amazon Wireless, which we mentioned back in December. Now you probably think that this price is as low as it can get, but it is not.

Amazon is spoiling us with yet another $50 price cut, so now you can pick up the Droid DNA for Verizon Wireless for just $99.99 with a 2-year contract. The deal is only valid for new Verizon subscribers, so if you are looking to upgrade the handset will set you back $149.99. As a nice bonus Amazon throws in free two-day shipping. The retailer did not disclose when the offer expires so you may want to hurry if you want to take advantage of the deal.

In case you forgot, the HTC Droid DNA comes with a 5-inch screen with 441 ppi, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
