US Cellular has been promising a Windows Phone 8 devices for some time and now it appears that the carrier is going to make good on the promise. From what we can see in the leaked render, the Samsung Ativ Odyssey will be available for US Cellular customers in the near future. However, it will not be the only addition to the carrier’s portfolio. Apparently, the LG Optimus F7 Android smartphone will hit the US Cellular store too.
US Cellular New Smartphones – Overview
The Samsung Ativ Odyssey Windows 8 Phone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution and a pixel density of 233 ppi. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 225 crunching graphics and 1 GB of RAM to complete the picture.
The handset offers 8 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD slot accepting up to 64 GB cards. The device packs an 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing one.
The LG Optimus F7 sports a 4.7-inch with a 720 x 1280 resolution at 312 ppi, an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter. Inside you will find a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. In terms of connectivity the phone offers LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot capability, and Bluetooth. Other features include microSD slot compatible with up to 32 GB cards, 2,540 mAh battery, GPS, and access to Google Mobile Services. The LG Optimus F7 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
