Ho, ho, ho! It’s snowing on Verizon. Metaphorically speaking of course. The Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid Mini showed up In the carrier’s store earlier today adding to holiday atmosphere with their white coats. The phones themselves are not entirely new to Verizon, since the carrier is already selling black and red models of both Droids. White version, however, was unavailable until now.
There is one kind of news that we always love to share – that a phone gets its price cut, even if just by a tiny percentage. It gets even better if the price is dropped by a whole $100. And if the phone in question is one of the latest offerings of one of the popular smartphone makers, it is simply perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, we have great news for you today. Verizon is selling the Motorola DROID MAXX and Droid ULTRA for $100 off their regular price. It means that the former can be yours for $199.99 and the latter will set you back just $99.99.
Verizon and Motorola are people pleasers. Recently at the event in New York that all three new Droid devices have been revealed by manufacturer and now all are available for pre-order at Verizon with 2 year contracts: Motorola Droid Mini, Motorola Droid Ultra, and Motorola Droid MAXX. Of course because all phones are in the same family under Verizon’s Droid smartphones, they feature many common specifications. Yet there are many differences that you guys will be able to experience in August. Functionality and features on each phone do compare more than contrast so Motorola and Verizon surely delivered great options for diverse customer preferences.
And the photos just keep coming. The new line of Droid phones just got caught on camera once again. A day or so ago we had the pleasure to present you the photo of the Droid Ultra and today the whole family was spotted posing for pictures. As you can expect, the photo comes via @evleaks and shows all three new Motorola Droid phones, which portraits the Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra and Droid MAXX, in all their glory.
That feeling when you need to make an urgent phone call or send an extremely important email and find the battery indicator dangerously low… Yeah, we all experienced that at least once. The omnipresent trend to make phones thinner and thinner is taking its toll on battery life. Motorola seems to be the only manufacturer that actually sees the problem and actively tries to solve it. Motorola phones are known for long usage time and it appears that the upcoming Droid MAXX will have even more to offer in this respect.
The Motorola DROID RAZR was a big hit, so no wonder that the company decided to manufacture a sequel which will bear the name Droid Ultra. Just like last year’s model, the Motorola Droid Ultra will be launched in MAXX and M variants too. Courtesy of The Unlockr and XDA Developers forum we can take a peek at the phone . The former provided press shots of a black model, while the latter showed us a white variant of the device. The Droid Ultra also will be available in red.
Motorola and Verizon will work together to release a new line of phones called DROID Ultra. That much what we know thanks to @evleaks’ report from last week. As far as the actual device is concerned, we know about it close to nothing, except for the fact that the work is in progress. Motorola launched a site for its DROID Ultra Android smartphone, however, it helps us very little. The site seems to confirm that such device indeed exists, but gives us few details.
