On Monday a rumor spread out that Sprint will be selling the HTC One for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Today we are happy to report that it was not April Fool’s day joke and the HTC’s new flagship smartphone will indeed land at Sprint with that exact price tag. The news was confirmed by the carrier itself in a Community post and came together with an announcement of more details regarding the sale.
Sprint HTC One pre-orders begins this Friday
The HTC One will be launched on April 19th with pre-orders beginning this Friday, April 5th. The big advantage of pre-ordered sale is that customers can expect their device to arrive close to its release date. It is a great alternative if you are impatient and want to have your new phone as early as possible. At the moment, a pre-register page is live on Sprint’s website where you can leave your email address to make sure you receive updates about the launch of the HTC One.
Sprint will be offering both black and silver color versions but only one storage option of 32 GB. Keep this in mind when you make the decision to buy the HTC One, since the handset lacks microSD slot for storage expansion. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, international roaming and Near Field Communication. The HTC One comes with new and unique features never before used in a smartphone as well as eco-friendly attributes making it an attractive choice for environmentally conscious users.
