Remember our post about the 50% price cut on the LG Optimus G on AT&T? There is another promotion going on on the same particular model but this time is dedicated for Sprint customers. As a part of BOGO deal, you can get the Optimus G for free as long as you buy another Optimus G. In other words, you can grab two identical handsets for the price of one. Of course, both require separate 2-year service agreements with Sprint. The deal is good for new and existing Sprint customers and expires February 28.
LG Optimus G for Sprint – Overview
You probably are already familiar with the phone’s specs, but let’s go over them again just to make sure. For starters, the Sprint LG Optimus G served as a model for the Nexus 4. The handset features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS+ display and is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU for graphics. This LTE-enabled smartphone offers 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage with optional expansion up to 64 GB via microSD card slot, and is equipped with 13 megapixel main camera with full HD video capture and 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter.
As of now, the handset ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but Jelly Bean update is on its way. The phone comes pre-loaded with a handful of cool apps, including QSlide, which allows you to perform two functions simultaneously on the same screen, and QuickMemo, that lets you create and share personalized memos by taking screen captures and adding handwritten drawings or messages. Other features include 2,100 mAh battery, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi with hotspot capabilities and GPS navigation.
