Rumored Sony Xperia OdinLately the Sony Xperia Odin is making extensively a lot of noise around and all the leaks so far made this phone very promising. Up to now we know that the handset is expected to come with a 5-inch full HD capacitive touch screen display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution resulting in an mind-blowing density of 440 ppi. Also, rumor has it that the smartphone is about to arrive in early 2013.

Currently there are some inconsistencies concerning the processor of the device. The phone was spotted in AnTuTu benchmark test with dual-core processor which is a kind of surprise. At first the Xperia Odin was said to feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip with Krait cores clocked at 1.5 GHz but right now a dual-core processor is more probable.

The Xperia Odin will possibly get 2 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot compatible with up to 32 GB cards to double the storage capacity. The other features making the phone still promising include: 13 megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, auto-focus and full HD (1080p) video recording, secondary 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, the latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, and strong 2,370 mAh battery,

  1. I hope it is a quad core CPU, because if it is a dual core CPU it would be a dealbreaker for many, on top of that if it is a 1080p screen you need a strong GPU and CPU to handle all those pixels.
I think at least Adreno 305 is required to ahieve a good flow in the interface.
I would much rather prefer Qualcomm APQ8064, because there is smartphones with that configuration allready out or soon to be released. There you have Adreno 320 GPU under the hood with the muscles to handle a full HD 1080p-screen.
