With Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile Word Congress approaching, we are getting more and more rumors filled with unconfirmed details about future Android devices. One of such devices, and probably the most expected one, is the Samsung Galaxy S4. A few days ago we were given an unofficial render of how the Galaxy S4 might look like and now we almost have its model number.
The firmware version for the Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190N confirms that the GT-I9500/GT-I9505 device rumored to be Galaxy S4, will be powered by Android with GT-I9505 model featuring LTE connectivity. Do not get too excited though, because we might as well be talking about the new Samsung’s flagship Tizen device.
With the Samsung Galaxy S III being GT-I9300 it would seem natural for the S4 to be GT-I9400, but since number 4 is considered bad luck in Korea it is possible that the company skipped that number and will continue with GT-I9500. It would mean that the GT-I9500 is the Galaxy S4 after all.
In addition, the firmware mentions another mysterious model number, the GT-Q1000, which could be a new line of smartphones for Samsung.
