The phone can be ordered from the Virgin Mobile’s website and will begin shipping around September 19th. The Samsung Galaxy Reverb costs $249.99 and does not require any long-term contract.

Samsung Galaxy Reverb for Virgin Mobile | Cheap PhonesThe Samsung Galaxy Reverb for Virgin Mobile bears a striking resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy S III, but spec-wise is far from its older brother. The Reverb is slightly shorted, narrower and thicker than the Galaxy S III but uses almost identical design language and built of TouchWiz.

The Samsung Galaxy Reverb sports a 4-inch capacitive, multi-touch display with 16,000 color support, a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and 233 ppi pixel density, and 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, auto focus, digital zoom, geo tagging and video capture capabilities supporting H.263, H.264, and MPEG4 video formats. There is also a second 1.3 MP front camera perfect for self-portraits and video chatting with friends and family.

The phone is powered by a single core Qualcomm MSM8655 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with 768 MB of RAM as well as 4 GB of internal memory expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card slot. Speaking of the connectivity, the Galaxy Reverb supports Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The Reverb uses Sprint’s Nationwide 3G network so don’t expect lightning – fast speeds, but the connection works well enough to access email, surf the Web or download new apps, games or music without any complaints.

The smartphone runs on the latest version of the Android operating system – the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which means you will have access to Google Mobile Services, like Google Play, where you can find thousands of useful apps, games, widgets and tools to download on your device, or Google Maps with turn-by-turn GPS Navigation, so you will no longer have problems with traffic, directions or local search.

The Galaxy Reverb comes pre-loaded with a number of apps, for example Facebook, YouTube, Picasa, and Virgin Mobile ID packs, which contain apps, wallpapers and more to personalize you phone according to your preferences, and provides access to Virgin Mobile Live – a 24/7 music streaming channel.

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy Reverb include: music player, with a filter by album, artist or playlist, supporting the following file formats: AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, WAV, WMA, web browser supporting HTML, HTML5 and Flash, caller groups, multiple numbers per contact, picture ID, ring ID, predictive text entry, calendar, alarm, calculator, music ringtone, vibration, flight mode, silent mode, accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, voice dialing, voice commands, voice recording, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 1,700 mAh battery which guarantees up to 7.5 hours talk time and up to 7 days standby time.
