If you are a fan of computer games, an average tablet probably wouldn’t be your first choice to spend your free time, simply because it is unable to provide satisfying gaming experience. But there are tablets that were build specifically with gaming purpose in mind and you will be able to get yourself one as soon as next month. Presented at Consumer Electronics Show in January, the Razer Edge and Razer Edge Pro, will be available for pre-order starting March 1 and will be shipped later on that month.
Razer Edge Windows 8 gaming tablets.
The Razer Edge is powered by a dual-core 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and boasts 64 GB of built-in memory and 4 GB of RAM. The tablet will be selling for $999.99. The Razer Edge Pro packs a dual-core 1.9 GHz Intel Core i7 processor with 8 GB of RAM. It comes in two version depending on storage capacity. The 128 GB model costs $1,299.99 and the variant with a massive 256 GB memory is priced at $1,449.99.
Both the Edge and Edge Pro feature a 10.1-inch IPS multi-touch HD display with a 1366 x 768 resolution, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, stereo speakers, HDMI port, USB and audio jack and run Windows 8. The tablets are compatible with a number of accessories including a keyboard, gaming controller, and docking station.
The accessories will be sold separately so total price for the tablet may reach $1,698. This sure is not cheap but considering that the Edge devices are aimed at a very specific group of customers, the tablets should score quite a few fans.
