For a high-tech device fan, the ZTE Concord for T-Mobile may seem like a toy, but for a newbie it will offer all that’s necessary to fully enjoy the Android experience. The T-Mobile Concord is rather small, with rounded edges and midnight blue back, which is very pleasurable to look at and definitely stands out in the army of black devices.

The phone features a 3.5-inch LCD capacitive touch screen with a 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 165ppi, and support for 262,144 colors, and a 2 MP camera with fixed focus and VGA video capture. The ZTE Concord is powered by a single-core 832MHz Broadcom BCM21553 chip and is fitted with 512MB of RAM.

The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which although is not the latest version of the operating system, still works perfectly for basic Web surfing, searching for a location via Google Maps or accessing favorite social networking sites.

The ZTE Concord comes with a 2 GB microSD memory card and supports up to 32 GB cards. Bluetooth supported profiles include HSP 1.2, HFP 1.5, OPP, FTP, PBA, A2DP 1.2 and AVRC. The phone can be used as a mobile hotspot and connects to the Web via Wi-Fi. In terms of connectivity, there is some inconsistency though. The T-Mobile Concord was announced as a 3G device, yet in the official statement T-Mobile claims accessibility to 4G network. Maybe some declaration will come soon.

Other features of the ZTE Concord include: GPS, vibration alerts, Android full HTML browser, XT9 technology, which enhances text entry, email client support for POP, IMAP and GMail, 3.5 mm headphone jack, ringer ID, voice dialing and real-music ringers.

The ZTE Concord may not have very impressive specs, but still is able to satisfy the needs of the majority of customers. The phone is stylish and offers all you need to stay in touch with your friends and family at a very cheap price of $99 without contract.
