Today we have a new dose of freshly leaked info and photos of soon-to-be unveiled phones – the HTC Deluxe DLX with quad-core processor, the Samsung W2013 – dual-screen flip phone for rumored price of $3000, and Samsung Galaxy Grand with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, which is rumored to be released at the end of the month. Our guess it will be end of December. The other two models should arrive in 2013.
Learn more about HTC Deluxe DLX
The first one on the list is the HTC Deluxe, which is probably based on the Droid DNA from the US and the Japanese J Butterfly. The phone will be available in black, brown and white, and we must admit that it looks pretty stylish in all the colors. The metal grills along the left and right sides are present, the USB port is covered by a plastic flap, and hardware navigation keys are situated below the screen.
As far as we can tell, the Deluxe will feature a huge 5-inch Super LCD 3 full-HD display and will be driven by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. It is quite possible that the Deluxe will run some version of Android Jelly Bean. As a power source you will get a 2020 mAh battery. There is no word on when the phone will debut but some sources mention CES and MWC 2013.
Introducing Samsung W2013
If your wallet is too filled with money, you can take a look at the Samsung W2013. The phone launches with a swing with Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan providing his face for the promotion. The handset will definitely be out of reach for an average customer, since its price is rumored to be around $3000. Is it worth it? Let’s see. The Samsung W2013 will be a dual-screen flip phone with a 3.7-inch display panel with WVGA resolution.
There will be a 1.4 GHz processor of still unknown type, but the enthusiasts expect the Exynos chipset. The processor will work with 2 GB of RAM and you will have 16 GB of internal memory, expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. The W2013 will come with dual-SIM support: one for CDMA2000 800/1900 and the other for GSM 900/1800/1900.
The operating system is somewhat of a disappointment for those who hoped for Android Jelly Bean, what you will find in the handset is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz user interface. The battery is also not too impressive offering only 1850 mAh. On the bright side, the phone will be equipped with an 8 megapixel main camera and 2 megapixel shooter on the front. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and music and video player.
Samsung Galaxy Grand
Apart from the above mentioned SCH-W2013, Samsung is said to have one more surprise for us. Its name is Galaxy Grand and it will reportedly launch by the end of the month. The Samsung Galaxy Grand is expected to boast a 5-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution and 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor. It will probably offer LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, and 2100 mAh battery. The operating system is said to be Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, which is the latest version of Android. It will supposedly cost about $732, so not exactly an entry-level price.
