Today we would like to introduce two Samsung phones that belong to Behold family. Well, actually we should say “remind of”, since both devices have been on the market for quite some time, and now they are on sale unlocked, without contract and at a cheap price, which may appeal to many consumers.
The Samsung Behold T919, equipped with 3.1-inch touch screen and 5 megapixel camera, is on sale at prices starting at $74.95, and the Samsung Behold II T939, loaded with Android platform, can be yours today starting at $88.99.
Learn more about Samsung Behold T919
The first of the devices, the Samsung Behold T919, was one of the first phones to boast a touch screen. Its display is not too impressive in terms of size, it is only 3.1-inches, and offers 240 x 400 pixel resolution and support for 262,000 colors. The phone has a virtual full QWERTY keyboard, which works fine in landscape orientation, but when you rotate the phone it changes back to alphanumeric keypad.
The Behold T919 runs proprietary operating system with TouchWiz user interface, which allows for some level of personalization on the home screen and has a proprietary combination headset jack and charger port.
The phone also offers a respectable set of features including speaker-independent voice dialing and commands, USB mass storage, PC syncing, Web-based POP3 e-mail, instant messaging, a voice memo recorder, GPS support with Telenav Navigator, and full Bluetooth with a stereo profile.
One of the Behold’s strongest points is its 5 megapixel camera, which takes pictures in four resolutions, from 2560 x 1920 to 640 x 480 and offers a number of shooting options, for example four quality settings, exposure metering, an adjustable ISO, a self-timer, an auto-focus, six “scene” settings (night, landscape, action, etc.), brightness and white balance, four color effects, three shutter sounds (there’s no silent option), an antishake feature, a setting for shooting backlit subjects, three shooting modes (continuous, panorama, and mosaic), and the “smile shot” mode promises to detect when a subject is smiling.

The Samsung Behold II T939 is a bit more advanced. It features a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a 320 x 480 resolution and support for 16 million colors. The phone has 200 MB of built-in memory, which is expandable up to 16 GB via microSD card slot.
The Behold II is also equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with camcorder with 8x zoom, flash and shooting options similar to those in the Behold, for instance multiple capture modes which include automatic, daylight, cloudy, panoramic and more. The camera is capable of recording up to 1-hour-long videos to share with friends and family. There is also a dedicated button for easy launch.
The phone runs Android 1.5 operating system with TouchWiz user interface and provides access to Google apps including Google Maps, Google Maps Navigation, Gmail, Google Talk and more. One of the neatest things about the phone is the 3D cube navigation that offers an alternative option to navigating making it move smoothly with a flick of a finger. Shaking the phone abruptly will cause it to randomly come to a halt on one of six available options – these include YouTube, Amazon MP3 Store, web browser, photos, videos, and music.
Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MP3 player, and easy access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
