Verizon added LG Optimus Zone to its prepaid offering at a cheap price of $79.99

ByinAnnouncements | June 8, 2013

Verizon Optimus ZoneVerizon customers using the carrier’s prepaid service have one more Android phone to choose from. The LG Optimus Zone is now available in local stores at a cheap price of just $79.99. Obviously, since it is a prepaid network the handset does not require signing up any long term contracts. Verizon also added the phone to its online store so you are able to purchase the phone without leaving your room.

LG Optimus Zone for Verizon Prepaid Service

Optimus Zone PrepaidThe LG Optimus Zone for Verizon prepaid service is not an entirely new phone. In fact it is a re-branded version of the LG Optimus L3 II available since February last year. Being a low-end offering it comes with adequate, and not to impressive, specs. The phone sports a 3.2-inch QVGA display and a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with video capture. Powering the device is an 800 MHz single-core chip accompanied by 512 MB of RAM.

The handset comes with 4 GB of internal memory, which is not a lot. Luckily there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. A 1,540 mAh battery keeps the lights on. As far as connectivity is concerned, the LG Optimus Zone offers Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G high speed data support. The phone runs Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.
