Rumors about the successor to the LG Optimus G started circulating as soon as the handset was announced back in November. The device, possibly called the Optimus G2, was first expected for release in May 2013, but now it looks like LG will show it off at Consumer Electronics Show tomorrow. There is no official confirmation that we will indeed see this particular model in Las Vegas. What we know is only that LG is preparing something BIG, unless the company has another mysterious device up their sleeve, however, the Optimus G2 seems like a safe bet.
The LG Optimus G2 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch High Definition 1080p display and will reportedly employ a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Prime MSM8974 possibly clocked at 2.0 – 2.5 GHz. Beyond that, we have no other details, but we will know more if and when the handset make an appearance at CES. And rest assured, we will keep you posted. LG’s press conference is set for tomorrow, January 7, so it won’t be long until we see the Opitmus G2 (or another mysterious phone).
