If our assumptions are correct, AT&T may be offering the LG Optimus G Pro in the near future. Why do we think that? Because a device with the model number LG E980 has recently arrived at the FCC and it sports LTE bands that match AT&T’s profile. The LG Optimus G has the model number E970, so it would be logical for the next phone in line to be the LG Optimus G Pro.
LG Optimus G Pro 5.5-inch Phablet for AT&T
The LG Optimus G Pro comes with a huge 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 600 processor. The unit is an improved version of the S4 Pro chip and works significantly faster bringing the speed to 1.7 GHz. The Optimus G Pro also packs 2 GB of RAM and a generous 32 GB of internal memory.
There is a good news for those who like to record their life with smartphone’s camera. The Optimus G Pro offers 13 megapixel shooter which should be more than enough to capture the most important moments. Another worth noting feature is a hefty 3,140 mAh bartery which not only is removable but also charges wirelessly. And last but not the least, the handset runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is almost the latest version of the OS.
For now it is not possible to confirm if the LG E980 is indeed AT&T’s version of the Optimus G Pro. If it is however, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have a notable opponent to compete against.
