Introduced at World Mobile Congress last week in Barcelona, LG’s new F-series was expected to launch in the US at some point, but details were scarce. Now we have new information. @evleaks posted images of a new LG phone which apparently is headed to Verizon, and what is even more intriguing, it looks just like the LG Optimus F5. The handset should be available next month and, going by the name Lucid 2 (model number VS870), will be a follow up to the LG Lucid launched a year ago.
LG Lucid 2 4G LTE for Verizon Wireless
The LG Lucid 2 is a mid-range phone that the company developed to “bring a premium user experience and the speed of 4G LTE to a mass audience.” The only difference between the international version and the Verizon model, except for the carrier’s logo, will be the addition of a menu capacitive button in the latter. The handset sports a 4.3-inch IPS display which works out to a 256 ppi pixel density and powering the device is a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon Krait processor.
In terms of memory, there is 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. Need more? No problem. There is also a microSD card slot to add up to 32 GB of storage. The Lucid 2 is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter and comes with a 2,150 mAh battery that should get you through the day with the need to recharge. Running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the phone also supports 4G LTE.
