LG officially announced New Nexus 4 White

ByinAnnouncements | May 28, 2013

Google Nexus 4 WhiteWe first heard about a white version of the Nexus 4 back in January. Since then, the phone kept popping up in photos and leaks, but both LG and Google kept quiet, neither confirming nor denying the rumors. Consequently, until today we had no solid information. But no more guessing and speculating. The device was officially announced at last. It will be available first in Hong Kong and in the weeks to come should go on sale in “select markets” in Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

New Google Nexus 4 White Phone

White Nexus 4Not surprising, the phone’s white back panel is the only detail that sets the handset apart from the original Nexus 4. Other features were left unchanged. It means that you can expect the white Nexus 4 to come with the same 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 HD LCD display, quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, and 2 GB of RAM as its black sibling.

The device is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. LG did not reveal pricing details, but since both models are identical in terms of hardware and software, it is safe to assume, that the white version will be sold at the same price level starting at $350.

On another note, LG denied its involvement in production of the Nexus 5. Not that we would expect the company to openly confirm such a rumor. The usual “no comment” answer would leave us with some hope, but LG CEO Kim Wong’s confidence clearly suggest that indeed it is true. It appears that LG will stay focused on devices like the Optimus G Pro.
