Event by KyoceraVirgin Mobile announced a new Android-powered smartphone today, the Kyocera Event. This is a very affordable device, so you should not expect any out-of-this-world specs and features, but it certainly is an interesting choice if you are planning to make the transition from a feature phone to a smartphone and begin your adventure with Android. The black version of Event launches today at Virgin Mobile USA for $79.99. The red model will be sold exclusively by RadioShack starting March 3, and neither will require a contract.
