Thanks to our on-call tipster @evleaks, we have just found out that two new Kyocera smartphones are heading towards US shore. The phones in question are the Kyocera Elite and Kyocera XTRM. Similarly to other devices manufactured by the Japanese company, they are believed to be low-end or mid-range offerings. The reason we mention this detail is that it reflects in pricing. Both handsets should be affordable devices and it sure is an important factor for folks on budget while buying smartphones these days.
Kyocera Elite and Kyocera XTRM Phones
The Kyocera Elite is expected to land on Verizon Wireless. The handset supposedly offers support for 4G LTE. The Kyocera XTRM, true to its name, appears to be a rugged device. A photo that accompanied @evleaks’ twit reveals some sort of bumper protection around the edges. The Kyocera XTRM’s destination is US Cellular.
At this point nothing more is known about either of the phones. Details such as specification list, possible launch date or expected pricing remain a secret. Chances are that new rumors or leaks will make their to the web even before the phones are officially introduced, so stay tuned.
