It is this time of year, right between two big events – CES and WMC, when every gadget maniac is happy because leaks and rumors pop up like mushrooms after a rain. It is also a very important time for manufacturer, when they have to decide which event would be better for unveiling their latest products. Some of this year’s flagships have already been presented at CES in Las Vegas, but many are waiting for WMC in Barcelona. One of them is the Huawei Ascend P2.
Huawei Ascend P2 – First look
A recent rumor mentioned quite a few details about the handset and now, courtesy of @evleaks via Unwired View, we have a photo to match with the specs. The Huawei Ascend P2 is said to be world’s thinnest phone, but unfortunately, the angle of the image does not allow us to fully appreciate its thinness. Also, the latest news claims that the 5-inch IPS display will boast 1080p resolution, which way better than 720p suggested earlier.
The handset is expected to be driven by one of Huawei’s K3V2 SoCs, with quad-core A9s processor operating at 1.8 GHz. Probably it will offer 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory and power will be provided by a hefty 3000 mAh battery. The sources also mention 13 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera as well as Android 4.1 Jelly Beans right out of the box.
Those specs do sound impressive, and hopefully they will be confirmed at World Mobile Congress, which is just one short month away.
