Rumors about the Huawei Ascend D2 has been raining on us since October when the device were announced. But today’s news is not a rumor – it is official confirmation from Huawei executive, Senior Vice President, Richard Yu that the company will be showing off its latest and greatest smartphones at Consumer Electronics Show in January 2013. That includes Android Ascend D2 and Ascend W1 Windows 8 phone. Take a closer look at fresh images and expected specs for the upcoming Huawei Ascend D2 before CES.
What we may expect from Huawei Ascend D2
The Ascend D2 will be Huawei’s most advanced smartphone so far, so we are all curious about its specs. Unfortunately, until CES we will have to satisfy our curiosity with some freshly leaked photos and more rumors, according to which the handset will come in white and zircon blue color option and will weigh 170 grams and measure 140 x 71 x 9.9 mm.
The device be Huawei’s first 5-incher with a 1920 x 1080 pixels screen. It will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor made by Huawei itself.
Other features include 2 GB of RAM, 13 MP rear camera, front-facing camera of unknown resolution, and a 3000 mAh battery. No details regarding the Ascend D2’s pricing have been revealed so far, but it sure looks like a pretty big departure from Huawei’s typical budget-oriented offerings.
