With Mother Nature smiling at us from every little flower and green leaf, Cricket Wireless entered into spring mood and decided to put smiles on the faces of its customers too. To be more precise, the carrier announced two new sets of plans – one for multiple lines and the other for iPhones.
New Cricket Family and Smartphone Plans
Actually, Cricket’s decision may not be inspired entirely by spring but rather by growing tension on the mobile market. The upcoming merger of T-Mobile and Metro PCS together with the recently introduced T-Mobile’s no-contract plans put Cricket in an endangered position. Whatever the motives are behind the decision, the new plans certainly will be beneficial to the clients. Both plans are available since April 21 at Cricket stores and select retailers.
The new family plan starts at $40 per line per month as long as you have two lines. Individual plan is a little more expensive and costs $50. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, 1 GB of full-speed data and access to Cricket’s Muve Music service. After you use up the 1 GB included in the plan, the speed will be throttled but you will not be charged any additional costs for accessing data.
Cricket also changed iPhone plans to more wallet-friendly factor. The most affordable plan starts at $50 per month and includes unlimited talk and domestic text, 1 GB of full-speed data. For $10 per month more, you will be upgraded to 2.5 GB of full-speed data and unlimited international messaging. A $70 plan offers 5 GB of full-speed data in addition to unlimited talk and international messaging. It is also worth mentioning that the iPhone plans include mobile hotspot and Muve Music.
